The annual Wicklow Way Relay takes runners from Kilmashogue just south of
the M50 at Marley to the village of Shillelagh 120 kilmetres away. Teams of
8 runners run the Wicklow Way in Relay. There are eight stages, between 8km
and 22km long.This year the Trim Athletic Club team of Danny Byrne, Ann
Tobin, DeclanSwords, David Hawcroft, John Doyle, Brian Cully, Dermot Leonard
and MaureenLowther undertook the marathon challenge. They improved on thier
2010 placing by moving from 17th place to finish twelfth in this years
event.
