Good times at the Dunboyne 4

Dunboyne AC hosted the latest round of the 2012 Meath Running League on
Sunday. International cross country star Joe Sweeney from DSD won the race
and the first woman across the line at the village square was Sara Treacy
from Moynalvey Kilcloon AC. There was a good showing by our club members in
the four mile race which attracted just under a thousand runners. Top Trim
finisher was Quentin Bourke who clocked in at 25m37 having took part in a
Tri An Mhi swimming event earlier in the day. He is tuning up well for the
summer triathlon season. The leading woman from Trim AC was Claire Smith who
ran a very good time of 28m29s. Pat Comey continued his return to form with
a 27m59 effort in the M60 class. Conor Daniel was the ninth placed junior
(under20) in a time of 28.16. The other Trim results to hand were Martin
Brogan 27.43,Heather Carty,32.50,Fiona Smith,34.43, Eric Smith,37.50,Stuart
Daniel,35.40, Maria Brogan,35.12. Joanne Bligh,42.21. Well done to all who
took part and the best of luck to you all in the remaining rounds of the
league.
