Trim at the marathon

Trim AC was very well represented at the 2012 Dublin city Marathon on Monday morning. Over 14,000 took part in this years event ,this is a record figure which underlines the popularity of running events at the moment. The weather conditions were good for this time of year and a number of our experienced runners set new PBs on the day. The club also had a number of debutants who were extremely pleased with their marathon experiences.

The club provided a number of volunteer officials for the start zones at the Dublin City Marathon. They experienced at first hand what it is like to work behind the scenes at a mass participation sporting event. It also whetted a few appetites which may see a few new marathon runners around the town in 2013 !!
